A thaw of Baby

From your starry eyes, leaped out rays,
That decayed duress of decades,
On our faces, hung as beams and motes.

Our empty incisors that drew farce from foes,
Have your virgin shriek; sew pillows into their armholes.


About the Author

Ifeanyi Omah is a classical graduate of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria, where he currently works as a lecturer in the department of Parasitology & Entomology. He is a Nigerian full-time Public Health Scientist and part-time writer with a fondness for poetry, science fiction & fantasy. He is working on his collections of poems ‘The Nationlet.’
